  Welcome to our new Domain! 

My name is Leo! My name is Gizzmo

I was born on July 30, 1990.  That makes me a "Leo"!  But that is not entirely  how I got my name.  When I was very little and before the human  got me, my name was "Lion".  The human where I was born, named me that because my cat mom Ebony and a bunch of the other cats in the cattery had a skin condition and had to be shaved!  Being a naked kitty is not much fun, let me tell you!  The only place I had any fur at all, was on my feet, my tail and my head.  They thought I looked like a "little Lion".   

When my human  got me, she decided that "Leo" would be a better name and that name suits me just fine!   My human told my first vet, Dr. Fischer, that if she had known how I was going to look when my hair grew back, she would have called me "Harry" :)

My kitty Mom was Ebony Glory from the Brushcreek cattery in Bricelyn, MN.  Gizzmo  and I have the same "kitty dad", so we are half-brother and sister!

I was born on July 11, 1990 which also makes me a Cancer. 

 I got my name "Gizzmo" from a movie character in the movie "Gremlins".  The little Gremlin I'm named after was the nice one by the way and loved to dance.  Our CLAW friend Niklos (Niklos is a handsome French Cat!  Oolala!!) sent us a picture of him  so you can see why they named me that!  You can see the Gremlin Gizzmo at the bottom of this page.

The Human was born on July 17.  So there are lots of July birthdays in our house !

Leo and I are Persian kitties.  My "kitty mom" was named Gypsy Rose Lee.  She came from the Kittymeirs cattery.  My and Leo's  "kitty dad" was Mr. Sabastian Silver Glory.    I think pedigree is kind of important.  Don't you?   

The human doesn't much care, because she loves us for ourselves and not our pedigree.

We are so saddened and sorrowed to report that the founder of this site and the King Lion of our home......our best friend and faithful companion.....Leo.....has made his final journey to the Rainbow Bridge.  Leo left us at 5:00 a.m., Sunday December 26, 2004.  A special section of our site has been created just for Leo.  While we do explain a bit there about Leo's passing, the purpose of the pages is to celebrate his life with us and the many wonderful experiences he had and memories he has left with us. Please visit A Wonderful Life and remember what we believe is the best cat in the world!  As for our Home page, Leo will remain on this page....forever.  He and Gizzmo came to this home together and shall remain together for as long as this site is on the web.  New siblings may enter our house and this site, but none will ever replace our wonderful Leo :)

Gizzmo

On October 9, 2007, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Gizzmo.....our last faithful companion..... made her final journey to the Rainbow Bridge.  She was 17 years old and had lived a good long life and an additional 3 years after her brother left us.   Gizzmo was Leo's "big sister".   With her passing, the "Leo and Gizzmo era" has ended.  Gizzmo was a wonderful kitty and blessed me with her companionship after we lost her brother.  She had been the back seat kitty for so many years, but did her best to fill the void and take care of her old human.  She also developed an internet presence all of her own at Fur and Fang.  Please visit Another Wonderful Life to celebrate the life of Gizzmo.  For as long as is possible, this site will remain as a tribute to Gizzmo, her brother Leo and all the other wonderful cats that have shared my life.  No one will ever replace the incomparable "Leo and Gizzmo"

CLAW:  Here is where you will learn about our  great club, CLAW.  Visit our CLAW Shelter Support Page!   We have decided that we are going to become "Kitty Keepers"!!  We are very excited about this.  Please visit frequently to see who our new "Kitty Friend" will be!

If you want to see more about the human and see some of our Art Work, you can visit her sites!  At the "Little Woman" you will learn more than you ever wanted to know about her growing up years, and our work with Bryce and Vue d'Esprit.  The "South Central Workforce Council" is where she works and what keeps kitty litter in the box and Hill's Science Diet in the dish!  Vernon Center is where we live.  This site is all about our little town and the exciting things that happen here.....as well as some exciting things that don't happen :)
